apples and plums
I just stumbled upon an apple and plum tree whilst walking with my brother and dog.
I sense plum wine and cider in later summer.
oh the joys of the wild forager :)

I do not know what I am going to do. Most likely make something outdoors with the children all day and then go for a forest walk. I will be busy because I am off to Greece at 2am. There is always time to think about summer though.
We could make flower crows again.
I have Walden: Life in the Woods, by Henry David Thoreau to read in Greece next week. Also I have a book on earth wisdom, creating ceremony and my primary school teaching handbook. That one is a beast.

many antlered deer in mythology?
In Princess Mononoke there is the many antlered human faced deer creature who is the spirit of the forest. Recently I saw Snow White and the Huntsman and there is the same imagery with the many antlered deer of the forest. I doubt that this is just plagerism of Mayazaki. Surely it must be inspired by actual mythology. Here is some of my findings:
